Hey all — Lou here!
Been a little bit since we’ve last spoken, and I do apologize for that, it’s been crazy busy at work and at home. I must admit, there have been some stresses in my personal life, but you know what, I’m getting through them; it’s owing to God’s will and by the abounding aid of the supports in my own life that I make it through life’s awful, little wrangles.
The stresses have partially come from relationships, and of course we all know that it isn’t uncommon. However, with a great deal of talking it out and compromising on both of our parts (along with some innovative thinking mixed in this time, too), plus a bit of cooling off surely, we get through the struggles. We did. We’re still working at it, too. It’s a daily process.
I think that is why I decided to go with a more traditional, classic approach to the book club this time around. The entry for the book club this time will be…ta-DAH…! It will be Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions. There are many folks in recovery whom have not read this one, and have stuck only with the Big Book, when this bestseller is most definitely worth a read as well.
Please check it out, and let me know what you think!
I’m not active in AA anymore, but back when I was, I actually found the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions to be far more to my liking than the Big Blue Book.
